While most green tomatoes flush gold or get a yellowish hue, Green Giant stays a beautiful emerald green.  In texture it is quite similar to Brandywine, smooth and silky!  The plant has outstanding production of sweet juicy tomatoes that are exploding with flavor!  The flavor is intense and not what you'd expect judging it by its color and is considered one of the best tasting green heirlooms.  Test the ripeness of these tomatoes by pressing them gently, as the flesh should yield slightly under pressure when they are ripe.  German heirloom.
