A very old heirloom tomato first documented in the 1870s. Originating in Wisconsin, but found in Pennsylvania's Amish communities. This tomato's most common use in for cooking, but it is a very good fresh eating variety as well making this an excellent dual purpose tomato. It is quite large for a sauce tomato and tends to be a little juicier than true paste tomatoes.
